Water Damage Repair

  1. If your phone is on, turn it off. If it turns itself off, leave it off! Powering up is likely to cause extra damage.

  2. Wipe up the water with a cloth as soon as possible.

  3. Set your iPhone 8 in a dry location and bring it in as soon as possible. The water will continue to cause damage until the battery is disconnected. Disconnecting the battery is not achievable without specialised tools and experience. Make sure you don’t charge the device.

The iPhone 7 is water-resistant but unfortunately, this does not mean it can not be damaged by getting wet. If it has been previously repaired or has a crack in the screen then it is likely the water resistance is gone. We can provide a free no-obligation quote to get your device working again. We find that components like the screen and battery are the most likely things to get damaged from liquids. Depending on how long it has been wet for then it might have a buildup of corrosion that needs to be cleaned off.
